Fox Sports names new president
Big news in the sports media biz:
Eric Shanks, a high-ranking DirecTV executive, was named president of Fox Sports Wednesday, at 38 becoming what is believed to be the youngest president ever of a broadcast network sports division.
Shanks will succeed Ed Goren, 65, who was named vice chairman.
Both Shanks and Goren will report to Fox Sports chairman David Hill.
