'Giants Online' is back

I have no regrets about leaving the Giants beat back in 2005, but I do miss parts of the job, none more than being a regular on "Giants Online."

Nothing beats getting yelled at on TV by Pat Hanlon and occasionally being recognized in airports to impress your children.

Consider all that full disclosure: I'm biased when it comes to the show. But it was nice to see it back as a full 30-minute program Saturday morning on MSG after several years as a mere segment on another show.

The current format took shape back in 2000, as a three-week replacement show while Bob Papa - who had been hosting a different format under the same name - was busy working for NBC at the Olympics in Sydney.

It took its current shape full time in 2001. The rest is television history!
