Islanders are in radio daze
Hey, check it out: It's my Friday newspaper stuff, leading with a look at the Islanders' radio situation, which frustrates some fans on two levels:
1. The team's primary radio outlet is an FM station with limited reach, unlike the other eight area pro teams, which are on 50,000-watt AM stations.
2. The aforementioned station uses the audio from the MSG Plus TV production rather than dedicated radio announcers.
I'll add some quotes on this topic that were left on the newspaper cutting room floor when I get around to it in the a.m.
