Landon Donovan fashions greatest moment in U.S. soccer history
Well, if you didn't enjoy that . . . you're just not a sports fan.
Here is how ESPN's Ian Darke called the greatest moment in U.S. soccer history:
"A header. Howard gratefully claims it. Distribution, brilliant. Landon Donovan . . . can they do it here? Cross, and Dempsey is denied again, and Donovan has scored!
"Can you believe this? Go, go USA! Certainly through. Oh, it's incredible. You could not write a script like this."
Then there were 25 seconds of only images and crowd noise, which was perfect.
Words were inadequate anyway.
