Mark Wahlberg shoots Derek Jeter
Derek Jeter plays himself (very briefly) in the movie "The Other Guys," premiering Friday and starring Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg.
Ferrell and Wahlberg play New York City police detectives whose careers are damaged when Wahlberg - in real life a Red Sox fan - accidentally shoots Jeter.
Based on his persona, you'd think Jeter wouldn't be much of an actor. But he gave a surprisingly strong performance as host of "Saturday Night Live" in 2001.
Jeter also appeared on "Seinfeld."
That's it for today. Congratulations on your retirement, Brett Favre. See you in September!
