Eddie Kraus of North Bellmore will join Mets booth Thursday

A young Mets fan will get an early experience of his broadcasting dream on Thursday night.
Eddie Kraus of North Bellmore, 12, who was named the winner of SNY’s 2022 Kidcaster Contest, will join the broadcast booth of Gary Cohen, Keith Hernandez and Ron Darling to do play-by-play during the bottom of the second inning of the team’s series opener against the Colorado Rockies at Citi Field.
“I’m so excited,” Kraus told Newsday. “I’m pumped because this is a once-in-a-lifetime thing. How many kids get to sit in the booth and commentate an inning of a Mets game? It’s crazy.”
