Michael Kay said he is unconcerned about being roasted Tuesday night at a fundraising dinner for the Yogi Berra Museum & Learning Center -- and not only because the roasting will be done by friends, for a good cause.

There also is this:

"I'm not dreading this one at all," he said, "because since the advent of Twitter, there is absolutely nothing anyone can say that would approach the nastiness or venom that one sees on a kind day on Twitter.

"I'm ready for it and hope the event raises a lot of money for the museum."

Kay, an ESPN New York radio host and YES' Yankees play-by-play man, was roasted once before at a 2005 fundraiser for Fordham, his alma mater.

"It was pretty much what I expected," he said. "I know they are jokes but I've always believed there is a very thin line between comedy and truth. So these things tell you stuff about yourself that you might want to fix."

Among those scheduled to appear Tuesday at the museum in Little Falls, New Jersey, are YES colleagues David Cone, Ken Singleton, John Flaherty, Jack Curry and Bob Lorenz. Don La Greca, Kay's radio partner, will emcee.
