MSG Varsity grows 'SportsDesk'
MSG Varsity's twice-nightly "High School SportsDesk" show wll expand effective Monday night from 30 to 60 minutes.
The show, available on iO TV Channel 14, will beef up its roster of contributors as part of the expansion, including long-time Newsday editor and scribe Bob Herzog, who hired me as a part-timer in 1982.
That makes him older than me chronologically, but he still has way more energy and better hair than I do.
Elsewhere in MSG Varsity news, West Hempstead High's own Don McPherson debuts a monthly show called "Training for Life with Don McPherson" at 6 p.m. Friday.
