NCAA final ratings down
The first ratings returns are in for the train wreck that was the 2011 NCAA basketball championship game and, not surprisingly, they were down.
An average of 13.3 percent of households in major markets watched Butler fall to UConn compared to 16.0 percent for last year's close Butler-Duke game.
Still, the 13.3 was better than the finals in three of the previous five years.
It is difficult to compare ratings figures for the entire tournament with those from past years because in the early rounds there were four channels carrying games, not just one.
