New Meadowlands Stadium it is . . . for now
It appears increasingly probable that New Meadowlands Stadium will not have a corporate sponsor's name attached to it in time for the Sept. 12 regular-season opener there.
NMS CEO Mark Lamping told me today that "nothing is imminent," and reiterated the teams that co-own the building prefer to wait for the right deal rather than accept what they believe is a below-market-value offer simply for the sake of having one done in time for football season.
I saw Lamping at a media event designed to showcase the food offerings at the new stadium.
My favorite: Buffalo Mac and Cheese.
More on that in August.
