Thank you, WatchDog Block Association, for responding to the invitation in Friday's paper to email me with your favorite athlete cameos of the television past.

Among the nominations (in addition to the five in the paper) were Kareem Abdul-Jabbar on "Diff'rent Strokes," Kevin McHale on "Cheers," Derek Jeter and Bernie Williams on "Seinfeld," Shaquille O'Neal on "Curb Your Enthusiasm," Deacon Jones, Bobby Riggs and Billie Jean King on "The Odd Couple," Leo Durocher on "The Munsters" and numerous people on "The Simpsons."

Even though Howard Cosell is not technically an athlete, the above is my all-time favorite sports-related sitcom cameo.
