Asking prices for the U.S. Open on the secondary ticket market have dropped 20 percent since Tiger Woods withdrew from the event this week, Bloomberg News reported.
The average price for a four-day ticket on StubHub was $402 as of Thursday, down from almost $500 on Tuesday. The tournament opens June 16 at Congressional Country Club near Washington, D.C.
Ticket prices are likely to fall even further, as they often do on the resale market as the event draws nearer.
