A laurel and hearty handshake to Fox analyst Tim McCarver, winner of the Baseball Hall of Fame's annual Ford C. Frick Award for excellence in broadcasting.
McCarver has had a remarkable run at the highest levels of baseball television, including memorable stints calling both Yankees and Mets games.
His influence on the business is comparable to that John Madden had on football broadcasting over a similar time period.
Well deserved, sir.
