Wharton hosts sports confab
Heard from former Newsday Yankees beat writer Kat O'Brien this week about a conference she organized for Friday at the Wharton School in Philly.
It's called the Wharton Sports Innovation Conference and is to include more than 50 speakers discussing a wide variety of sports business topics.
The planned roster includes Jets execs Matt Higgins and Thad Sheely, Wizards/Caps owner Ted Leonsis, former Rangers owner Chuck Greenberg and Eagles president Joe Banner.
Here is the website. The event is open to the public, but there is an entrance fee.
