Dominick Cruz out of UFC 148 with knee injury

UFC bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz tore the ACL in his knee during training and has pulled out of his title defense against Urijah Faber at UFC 148 on July 7.

There is no word yet on what will happen to Faber that night.

"Im bummed people,Thanx 4 the support as i battle this,big sorry to all the fans out there!I WILL recover n I WILL b back 2put on a show!" Cruz wrote on his verified Twitter account @TheDomin8r.

Cruz is a coach on this season's "Ultimate Fighter," which includes live fights on Friday night. That means the "reality" portion of the show is put together that week, so there's going to be quite a few interesting editing decisions coming this Friday at 10 p.m. on FX.
