Chris Wade has his next fight booked.

The former state wrestling champion from Islip High School will fight Mairbek Taisumov at UFC Fight Night 81 in Boston on Jan. 17, 2016. T.J. Dillashaw headlines the card at TD Garden with a bantamweight title defense against Dominick Cruz.

Wade replaces the injured Beneil Dariush, ranked No. 8 in the UFC lightweight division.

Wade (10-1, 3-0 UFC) last fought in June, beating Christos Giagos.

Taisumov (24-5) also has won three straight, including a performance of the night bonus in a win over Alan Patrick.
