After the Shane Roller-Anthony Njokuani fight, the pay-per-view broadcast cut to UFC president Dana White. He wore a light blue dress shirt, a black sports jacket and a great big smile.

Seated to his right was Jake Shields, the Strikeforce middleweight champion and free-agent fighter.

Shields dominated Dan Henderson last week, the last bout in his Strikeforce contract.

White and Shields smiled for the cameras, and after a few seconds, White pointed to his chest and mouthed to the camera, "He's mine."

Surely there will be something of a more formal annoucement in the coming days (or at the post-fight press conference). Should Shields be joining the UFC, and there's no reason to think he's not, he'll likely drop down to welterweight and challenge Georges St-Pierre fairly soon.
