Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier had a news conference to kick off the hype for their UFC 178 light heavyweight title in September on Monday in Las Vegas.

There were more punches than kicks thrown after Cormier shoved Jones during the staredown. Jones, the champion, didn't appreciate it and pushed Cormier back.

What followed was a scuffle of sorts, the likes of which are typically reserved for boxing events. Watch the video related above.

Both Jones and Cormier, who are scheduled to be in Los Angeles for another press event on Tuesday, continued to scrap with words via their social media accounts.

"Put some ice on that face DC, you got lots of interviews tomorrow," Jones tweeted.

"I won't let another man get in my face and put his forehead against mine," Cormier tweeted. "I will react every time. @JonnyBones next time I will slap you."
