The UFC made it official late Tuesday night that Jose Aldo would make his first appearance as UFC featherweight champion on New Year's Day 2011 at UFC 125.
He'll fight Josh Grispi in the co-main event. Frankie Edgar defends his lightweight title against Gray Maynard in the main event.
The Aldo-Grispi bout replaces Roy Nelson vs. Shane Carwin as the co-headliner. Carwin pulled out of the fight with a back injury.
