Every king needs his crown, and King Mo Lawal is no different. Lawal wore this crown to the cage at Strikeforce: Nashville and walked out with Gegard Mousasi's light heavyweight title. (April 17, 2010) Credit: Strikeforce / Esther Lin

King Mo Lawal, the former Strikeforce light heavyweight champion, returned to the cage for the first time in more than a year.

He spent the first four-plus minutes of his fight against Roger Gracie on Saturday doing very little. Gracie did the same.

But, with about 30 seconds left in the first round, Lawal threw a big, overhand right that landed right behind Gracie's left ear for the knockout.

The fight itself was uneventful, and Lawal (8-1) will have to show a lot more in his next fight if he wants to move up the ranks again, be it in Strikeforce or UFC, both of which are owned by Zuffa LLC.
