When they were both up-and-coming MMA fighters three-plus years ago, Costas Philippou and Uriah Hall fought each other.

Now as established fighters in the UFC middleweight division, the two will do so again.

Philippou, from Massapequa Park via Cyprus, and Hall, from Queens via Jamaica, will meet at UFC Fight Night in Boston on Jan. 18, 2015. The card will air on Fox Sports 1 that Sunday after the NFL conference championship games.

Featherweights Conor McGregor and Dennis Siver headline the card. Lightweights Eddie Alvarez and Benson Henderson will be the co-main event.

Philippou and Hall fought at Ring of Combat in New Jersey in February 2011, with Philippou earning the win by majority decision.

Philippou won his last fight at UFC Fight Night 40 in May, knocking out Lorenz Larkin at 3:46 in the first round. Hall beat Thiago Santos via unanimous decision in his last fight at UFC 175 in July.
