Miesha Tate and Julie Kedzie put on one of the best fights of the year Saturday night at Strikeforce in San Diego.

Kedzie scored a pair of knockdowns in the third round, this after she dominated Tate in the first round and nearly got submitted in the second round.

Opening the third round, Showtime broadcaster mentioned that Strikeforce fighter Liz Carmouche was live-tweeting from cageside.

"Amazing show by the females this fight! If you're missing this you're no fan or WMMA or Strikeforce," Carmouche tweeted and Ranallo read on the air.

"Or MMA, period," Showtime color commentator Pat Miletich responded on the air.

Props to Miletich for recognizing the sport without that "women's" qualifier.

Yes, people, it is indeed possible.
