Wow, got enough capital letters in that headline?
Well, it seems rapper-turned-actor LL Cool J is about to get a taste of life inside the cage when his character (Sam Hanna) goes undercover as a mixed martial artist on the April 6 episode of CBS drama "NCIS: Los Angeles."
And Strikeforce airs its card live on CBS on April 17. Is it sweeps week yet? Nah, that doesn't start until April 29. Rather, this is cross-promotion at its finest by CBS -- the "NCIS: Los Angeles" brand and its programming interests (along with Showtime) in Strikeforce.
Smart move. Especially with Fedor Emelianenko not on this card.
If you watch this episode closely, you'll see some nice product placement, er, Strikeforce fighters around the cage. Keep an eye out for Dan Henderson, Frank Shamrock, Gilbert Melendez, Josh Thomson, KJ Noons and Cung Le.
