NYC's Nick Pace signs with WEC
Nick Pace, an undefeated mixed martial artist from Staten Island, has been signed by the WEC, Fightin' Words has learned.
Pace replaces Clint Godfrey at WEC 51 on Sept. 30 in Bloomfield, Colo. The bantanweight will face Demetrious Johnson (10-1, 0-1 WEC) on the undercard of the Jose Aldo-Manny Gamburyan main event.
Pace is 5-0 career, with four wins in the New Jersey-based promotion Ring of Combat, and another win in Bellator. He trains in Elmwood Park, N.J., and is the head trainer at Tiger Schulmann in Brooklyn.
Pace, 23, has two submission victories, two decisions and one KO. That knockout came via a flying knee at Bellator 11. Watch the video below.
