During the UFC 154 pre-fight press conference Wednesday, I sent out this tweet:
Great #UFC154 prop bet here: "How many PPV Buys will UFC 154 Have? O/U 800,000" Will be interesting to see how they prove who won/lost.

It seems I wasn't alone in wondering how Bovada, an online sports betting and casino website, could offer such a prop bet since the UFC does not make its pay-per-view buys public.
Yes, those numbers often leak through various other outlets, but who's to say what's true when it comes to placing a wager on such things.
So, we inquired. Here's what Bovada.lv sportsbook manager Kevin Bradley said in an email:
“We have offered this prop on previous UFC PPV events and we will use a variety of sources with PPV estimates that we feel are solid and grade the prop accordingly. In a case where we feel it is too close to call, we will No Action the prop.”
There you go. No real proof, no action.
