What a way to open the prelims on Spike for UFC 115! And no, we don't mean it was a good fight. We mean it was an awful job of refereeing by Yves Lavigne.

Matt Wiman got Mac Danzig in a guillotine choke and held on to it for a little bit. Lavigne stepped in to see how Danzig was doing, as any referee would.

Wiman could be heard saying "He's out, he's out," and Lavigne believed him. He stopped the bout at the 1:45 mark of the first round.

"Very unfortunate," Wiman said. "I guess the fair thing to do is put us back in the choke."

Danzig (20-8-1) said he was feeling the choke, but he posting on Wiman's need in order to stay safe and not go out. :45 in first

"Yves Lavigne, and any referee, has a really hard job in this sport," Danzig said. "I was feeling the choke, that's why I rolled out. But I wasn't out and I wasn't about to tap."

Props to Danzig for being a class act in the wake of the decision. He was clear to not place any blame on Lavigne or Wiman (12-5).
