UFC 229: Tickets for Conor McGregor's return to MMA nearing historic prices for promotion
As of Tuesday, the lowest price for UFC 229 on StubHub was $610, with an average of $1,370, second only in StubHub history to UFC 205 at Madison Square Garden in 2016, featuring Conor McGregor against Eddie Alvarez.
Saturday's event at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas will be McGregor's return to mixed martial arts. He faces lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov for the UFC's 155-pound title.
“UFC fans are anxious to see McGregor step back into the ring - he’s the biggest star the sport has ever seen and the ticket demand from around the world reflects his massive appeal,” said Jill Krimmel, StubHub’s general manager of MLB, NCAA and all other sports. “This weekend’s fight between McGregor and Kahbib is our second most in-demand UFC fight we have ever seen.”
Seventy-two percent of StubHub sales for the event have come from the United States, with 7 percent from Canada, 6 from the United Kingdom, 4 from Australia and 3 from Ireland.
