UFC Fight Night 20: Hurricane Gerald gets the TKO
FAIRFAX, Va. - Welcome to the UFC, John Salter.
He made his debut at the Patriot Center on UFC Fight Night 20 on four days' notice as a fill-in for injured Mike Massenzio. A noble move by the young middleweight from Birmingham, Ala.
Only one problem with such a debut: Salter let his nose continually run into the fists of middleweight Gerald Harris.
Harris (14-2) eventually got Salter (4-1) to the ground midway through the third round and hammered away until the referee stopped the fight for a TKO.
