The UFC sent out a press release late Thursday afternoon touting a "major" announcement from UFC president Dana White coming Friday at 1 p.m. EDT.
This typically brings about rampant speculation as to what the annoucement is about, such as the signing of a major star, an absorption of a sister organization, the purchase of a rival company or the opening of a new UFC office somewhere in the world -- all past examples.
White put a quick end to any speculation when he tweeted this:
"The "BIG Announcement" 2 morrow at 10 am will be the FOX fight. The UFC and FOX are so pumped for @UFCONFOXSports!!!!!!!!"
There you have it. We'll find out the first live card on Fox since the two companies signed a seven-year broadcast deal.
