Upcoming MMA fights for Long Islanders

Massapequa's Dennis Bermudez started things off right for Long Island-based MMA fighters when he won a unanimous decision over Pablo Garza at UFC on Fox 3 in New Jersey last Saturday.
But there are several more fights in the major MMA promotions involving Long Islanders coming up this summer. Have a look:
May 18: Al Iaquinta (Wantagh) will fight an opponent to be announced in the quarterfinals of "The Ultimate Fighter: Live."
May 19: Gian Villante (Levittown) fights Derrick Mehman at Strikeforce in San Jose, Calif.
July 7: Costa Philippou (Massapequa), pictured above left, fights Riki Fukuda at UFC 148 in Las Vegas.
July 11: Chris Weidman (Baldwin) headlines UFC on Fuel 4 against top-ranked middleweight Mark Munoz in a city to be announced.
July TBA: Ryan LaFlare (Lindenhurst) is scheduled to fight on a Strikeforce card to be announced against a to-be-determined opponent.
