It's been several hours and 14 months since Quinton "Rampage" Jackson last stepped into the octagon to fight. He won a unanimous decision against Keith Jardine at UFC 96 in Las Vegas on March 7, 2009, in less-than-exciting fashion.

“I was ring-rusty against Jardine, and I may be in this fight in Las Vegas," Jackson said. "That gives Rashad [Evans] a teeny-tiny chance. Not a good chance, just a teen-weeny chance. Like 0.05 percent."

With such a lenthy time away, it's fair to raise the question of ring rust in the days leading up to UFC 114 (May 29) and his light heavyweight bout against Rashad Evans. The winner is likely to get a title shot at Mauricio "Shogun" Rua later this year.

We know which version of Rampage we'll hear in the coming days, but will we see the real Rampage inside the octagon or a lesser version of the brawler?

In his time away from the cage, Jackson coached Season 10 of "The Ultimate Fighter," retired from the UFC to start a movie career, filmed "The A-Team" (in theaters June 11), un-retired from the UFC, embarked on training with Michael Bisping at the Wolfslair and joined the trash-talking hype machine for his UFC 114 main event against Rashad Evans.

"If I had fought more recently? He’d have no chance, he wouldn’t have needed to show up," Jackson said. "He’d have fainted in the hotel room and we could have sent the referee with room service to wake his ass up and call that a KO."
