Wow, everyone hates on Steve Mazzagatti

No matter how hard he tries, referee Steve Mazzagatti always seems to find himself in the octagon during controversial situations. You almost feel like the guy can't win for trying.

Maybe he really is the worst referee out there, as many including UFC president Dana White have alluded to in the past. Maybe he isn't.

But the UFC and Brock Lesnar actively campaigned to make sure he wasn't the referee assigned by the Nevada State Athletic Commission for the main event at UFC 116. Read more here. Josh Rosenthal got the gig.
