Rio Olympics: Katie Ledecky advances to 200 freestyle finals

Katie Ledecky will go for another gold medal on Tuesday.
The 19-year-old star finished second with a time of 1:54.81 in her 200-meter freestyle semifinal heat on Monday night in Day 3 of the Rio Olympics. The final is Tuesday a 9:19 p.m. EST.
Sweden’s Sarah Sjostrom finished just ahead of her in 1:54.81.
Ledecky followed up her world-record swim in the 400-meter freestyle with a first-place finish in her heat in the 200-meter freestyle earlier Monday.
Ledecky won a world championship in the 200 freestyle in 2015. She did not compete in the event at the 2012 London Olympics.
Ledecky won gold in the 400-meter freestyle on Sunday in 3:56.46, smashing her previous mark of 3:58.37 set nearly two years ago.
Ledecky also is favored in other two individual events: the 200 and 800 free. In addition, she could pick up another gold in the 4x200 free relay.
