American winger Clint Dempsey looked as fresh as ever despite a long hard-fought season with his English Premier League team, Fulham.

"C'mon, it's the World Cup," Dempsey said. "Any mental or physical fatigue that comes with playing through a season is wiped away once the World Cup comes around."

Not only has Dempsey played an entire EPL season filled with injuries (knee, thigh, wrist), but he also figured as a central role in Fulham's success in the Europa league, where it reached the finals and lost only last week.
