Argentina and Chile are in the far south of South America — as far as Copa America teams get from East Rutherford, New Jersey, but that does not seem to have hurt demand for tickets to their championship showdown Sunday night at MetLife Stadium.

As of Friday morning, the average asking price for a ticket to the game was $1,067.85, according to TiqIQ.con, which monitors a number of resale market sites.

That would make it the second most expensive ticket in the history of the stadium, behind only Super Bowl XLVIII at $2,567.

The lowest asking price as of Friday morning was $382.

Completed ticket resales were averaging $778.92.
