Mourinho joins Real Madrid, becomes richest coach
Portuguese superstar coach José Mourinho has agreed in principal with Real Madrid to coach the team to the tune of 10 million Euros ($12 million) per year for four years. This would make him the highest-grossing coach/manager in all of sports.
Mourinho is coming off a spectacular season with Inter, where he won the Italian treble (League title, Champions League, and Italy's cup). The coach still has two years left on his current contract with Inter, but has publicly expressed a desire to leave to coach the 'Galacticos.'
Although he has yet to officially sign, it seems like Mourihno already has plans to bring in Liverpool's Steven Gerrard and Inter's Maicon.
