Think Beckham would have been proud of this bender?

I'm pretty sure Newton would have been proud of that bender.

Quite possibly the best goal scored in the English Premier League this season came off the foot of Papiss Demba Cisse in injury time of Newcastle's 2-0 victory over Chelsea Wednesday at Stamford Bridge. His first goal would have been worth highlighting, too, but it became an afterthought when he scored his second.

Cisse's outside-of-the-foot masterpiece seemed to defy the laws of physics. To borrow a famous phrase, it swirled toward net from 30 yards away, "paused -- in mid-air, mind you," before befuddling Peter Cech and slamming into the side netting.

Cisse has scored 13 goals in the last 12 league games for Newcastle, which sits in fifth place -- four points ahead of Chelsea with two games to play. If the Senegalese striker doesn't add to that total the rest of the season, he certainly saved his best for last.
