The rain may have been the perfect break for Novak Djokovic.

Djokovic had lost momentum in that second set, up 4-2 and seemingly on his way to tying the match. Nadal, however, rallied to tie it at 4-4 and clearly had seized momentum as the rain came.

After the rain break, Djokovic seized control back and took the second set, 7-5. After seeing Djokovic smash his racket and appear frustrated at times prior to the rain, the break seems to have made a difference.

Plus, Djokovic's left ankle, which he injured against Roger Federer, may have been bothering him earlier. His ankle undoubtedly got some needed rest.

Nadal is up 2-1 in the third set.
