Francesca Schiavone moves into the quarterfinals

 The French Open champion continued the run of the "old guard" of women's players with a 6-3, 6-0 win over Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova on Louis Armstrong.

Schiavone, 30, joins 27-year-old Kim Clijsters in the quarters. Schiavone will likely play another 30-year-old, Venus Williams, if Venus can get past Shahar Peer on Ashe in a few moments.
