Kenepi beats Wickmayer, advances to quarterfinals

Kaia Kanepi has advanced to the quarterfinals with a 6-0, 7-6, 6-1 win over 15th-seeded Yanina Wickmayer.

It marked the second straight match in which Kanepi, the 31st seed from Estonia, has defeated a higher seed. Kanepi beat fourth-seeded Jelena Jankovic in the third round.

Kanepi will play the winner of Monday night's match between Vera Zvonareva and Andrea Petrovic.
