Mardy Fish scores weighty win, beats Clement in five

One of the bigger stories here has been Mardy Fish's weight loss.

The American Fish has been dropped 30 pounds since having knee surgery a year ago. That new conditioning really paid off yesterday as he survived a five-set match against Amaud Clement. Fish advanced to the fourth-round with a 4-6, 6-3, 6-4, 1-6, 6-3 win over Clement, the 68th ranked player.

Fish has won 19 of his last 21 matches. He will play the winner of tonight's game between James Blake and Novak Djokovic.

"You get goose bumps," Fish said when asked what it was like to win a big match here. "This is one of the best courts in the world."
