Maria Sharapova wins in straight sets
Maria Sharapova advanced to the third round with a almost effortless 6-1, 6-2 win over Iveta Benesova tonight.
Benesova never had a break point in the match against Sharapova, the No. 14th ranked woman in the world.
Sharapova, 23, will play 18-year-old American wild card Beatrice Capra in the third round.
When Sharapova was asked after the match if she had ever heard of Capra, she responded "not really."
