Melanie Oudin easily advances at US Open
Melanie Oudin, the darling of last year's tournament, has now advanced to the second round.
The American Oudin, who beat three straight Russians last year, won her first-round match today over Olga Savchuk of the Ukraine, 6-3, 6-0.
