Monfils, Cibulkova advance

         Gael Monfils is going to the quarterfinals, after beating his friend and fellow Frenchman Richard Gasquet.

          Monfils, the 17th seed, defeated Monfils, 6-4, 7-5, 7-5. He will play the winner of the Mardy Fish/Novak Djokovic that is in its first set right now.

         Also today, Dominika Cibulkova defeated Svetlana Kuznetsova, 7-5, 7-6 (7-4). She will play the winner of  the Carloinne Wozniacki/Maria Sharapova match, which is slated to follow Fish/Djokovic.
