Nadal takes first set from Verdasco
Fernando Verdasco became the first player to break Rafael Nadal's serve in this year's U.S. Open but he couldn't capitalize on his advantage to take the first set.
Nadal broke Verdasco in the eighth game and the final and the final one to take the set, 7-5.
