Rafael Nadal advances, wins in straight sets
Could this be the year that Rafael Nadal finally wins the U.S. Open?
Nadal, the No. 1 seed, was impressive last night in surviving a tough challege from Denis Istomin and winning their second-round match, 6-2, 7-6, 7-5.
Nadal as down, 5-1, in the second-set tiebreak when he rallied back to take the second set.
Nadal, 24, has eight Grand Slam titles but has never won in Flushing Meadows. A win here would make him just the seventh man to finish off a career sweep of the four Grand Slams
