Serena seeded 28th for U.S. Open

The USTA announced today in a press release that world Caroline Wozniacki of Denmark has been named the top seed in women’s singles at the 2011 U.S. Open. Serena Williams has the 28th seed.
The U.S. Open will begin Aug. 29 at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing. It will conclude on Sept. 11.
