Stanislas Wawrinka defeats Sam Querrey
Stanislas Wawrinka, the 25th seed, advances to his first Grand Slam quarterfinal by beating No. 20 seed Sam Querrey 7-6, 6-7, 7-5, 4-6, 6-4 in a fourth-round match at Arthur Ashe Stadium.
Wawrinka will play No. 12 seed Mikhail Youzhny, who beat Tommy Robredo earlier today, on Thursday.
With Querrey's loss, the U.S. men are eliminated from this year's tournament.
For Querrey, a crushing loss. Querrey was also looking to advance to his first Grand Slam quarterfinal.
The match lasted nearly four and a half hours.
