Wawrinka takes control against Sam Querrey
Stanislas Wawrinka won the third set, 7-5, and is one set away from advancing to the quarterfinals of the U.S. Open.
Sam Querrey was up 3-1 in the third set and seemed to have momentum on his side.
Wawrinka won the first set 7-6, then Querrey rallied to win the second set, also 7-6.
What does Querrey have left? Can he tie it up again? Can the veteran Wawrinka break the will of Querrey? We'll see.
Querrey's first appearance in the quarterfinals of a Grand Slam event is at stake. The same goes for Wawrinka, who has never advanced past the fourth round of a Grand Slam event.
