Lake Success company to deal in car market-share reports
A Lake Success car-dealer software maker has a new partnership with Experian, the financial data company.
DealerTrack Inc. is now a reseller for Experian's AutoCount market share reports.
DealerTrack will sell the reports to car dealers, to help them sell more vehicles by spotting trends. They “help dealers better understand their markets by identifying top-performing vehicle makes and models (both new and used), emerging sales trends and the lenders that are active in their area,” a Tuesday news release said.
DealerTrack says the reports:
- -- provide actual monthly vehicle sales based on "unbiased title data" from state vehicle agencies.
- -- are an objective source used by auto dealers when evaluating vehicle sales activity.
- -- include vital information about dealers, manufacturers, vehicle segments, makes, models and lenders.
- -- can be customized down to the ZIP Code level to give dealers information specific to their market area.
Experian maintains a national vehicle database with details on more than 625 million vehicles; along with wide-ranging consumer and business credit information.
